Dr.
Benjamin P. Gochman is Owner and Director of Operations
of CG AMERICAS (Consulting Group of the Americas, LLC),
an international business consulting firm that advises government
agencies and Fortune 1000 companies in Canada, Mexico, and
the United States with offices in Denver, Colorado and Mexico
City, Mexico. Dr. Gochman has 20 years experience in the
U.S. Government, International Business, and University
education with a focus on Canada, Mexico, NAFTA, and North
American Defense and Security Cooperation. He worked as
an operations analyst advising the Bi-national Planning
Group (BPG) on initiatives associated with the enhancement
of Canadian and United States (CANUS) military cooperation,
and political agreements related to the expansion of North
American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) into multiple
missions and domains. He is a former Presidential Management
Intern (PMI 1987) and U.S. Government employee with career
status (GS-12/3). Ph.D. and M.A. from University of Denver.
Dr.
Gochman advises corporations on how to bridge cross-cultural
gaps and create strategic growth partnerships with firms
in Mexico, Central America, and South America. He is a specialist
on Mexico, NAFTA, strategic business plan development, IT
project management, e-Commerce business strategies, Front-end
web site localization, cross-cultural training/business
practices, Federal Government operations, and the construction
of high-tech corporate training facilities.
He
is founder of the International Technology Business Forum
and serves on the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce High-Technology
Council, Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce International
Affairs Committee, Colorado Association of Commerce and
Industry (CACI) Technology Council, and the Steering Committee
of the Latino-Jewish Coalition. Dr. Gochman is also a member
of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Colorado Springs Chamber
of Commerce, Denver Committee on Foreign Relations, and
the World Trade Center Denver.
Prior
to joining CG AMERICAS, Dr. Gochman served as Special Assistant
to the Director of Communications at the Federal Retirement
Thrift Investment Board, a 401(k) savings and investment
plan for Government employees with assets totaling $66.6
billion. He also served in the prestigious Presidential
Management Intern (PMI) program during the Reagan and Bush
Administrations.
Dr.
Gochman is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver
teaching courses in Global Business, Electronic Commerce,
and Latin American business for the Master of Technology
Management/Global Affairs Certificate Program at University
College and the Daniels College of Business. He has served
as a guest lecturer to the Colorado Association of Commerce
and Industry, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, U.S. -Mexico
Chamber of Commerce, Western International Personnel Association,
and World Trade Center Denver.
A
native of New York, Dr. Gochman received his Ph.D. degree
in International Relations from the University of Denver,
Graduate School of International Studies in 1998. His Doctoral
Dissertation was on Networks, Neoliberalism, and NAFTA:
Economic Technocrats and Policy Change in Mexico, 1982-1997.
Dr. Gochman received an M.A. degree in International Relations
with a concentration in Latin American studies from the
University of Denver, Graduate School of International Studies,
in 1987. He received a B.A. degree in Government and American
Studies from Franklin and Marshall College in 1984.
